Established in 1992 as the metrology group supporting the Midwest’s largest distributor of machine tools, Productivity Inc. Upon the retirement of Productivity’s founder, ownership passed to key employees and that structure remains in place. PQI has grown to over 40 employees focusing on metrology product sales, a full range of ISO 17025 accredited calibration services, and a training center that supports over 2000 hours of scheduled training classes every year from PQI’s primary office in Minneapolis. In 2001, a separate inspection group, Advanced Inspection Services (AIS) was created. AIS’s 15 employees provide first article, reverse engineering, in-process inspection in an ISO 17025 accredited system.
